Spicy Soya Kababs

(Serves 4)

250 grams soya granules
4 medium sized potatoes 
3 onions
1 bulb garlic
½ inch ginger
4-5 green chilies
5 tablespoons oil
½ teaspoon garam masala
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder 
½ cup chopped coriander
salt and pepper to taste
100 grams semolina or bread-crumbs


Soak soya granules in water for half an hour. Rinse thrice. Keep aside.
Boil potatoes, cool and mash. Keep aside.
Grind onion, garlic, ginger and green chilies.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in pan and add ground masala till it turns transparent.
Add soya granules. Sauté.
Add garam masala, turmeric, coriander, salt and pepper. Sauté.
Add potatoes and cook till done.
Make into small balls and roll in semolina or bread-crumbs.
Shallow fry in oil.
